Concert: Award-winning harpsichordist Mélisande McNabney and internationally celebrated cellist Elinor Frey present “Quill and Bow: A Celebration of the Harpsichord and Cello.” The Music Department's new harpsichord is a gift from Joanna Manning, and her late husband Gary, in thanks for the many years of music enjoyed at Mount Allison. The concert features a Flemish Double harpsichord in solo and duo settings. McNabney and Frey take us on a musical journey featuring monuments of the repertoire, by J. S. Bach, A. Vivaldi, F. Couperin and J.-P. Rameau alongside lesser-known gems by Jean Baur, Elisabeth Jacquet de la Guerre and Jean Henry D'Anglebert.
